If your Wendell home still runs on a fuse box, a 60 or 100 amp service, or a panel brand that insurers flag, an upgrade is the single biggest electrical improvement you can make. OSB handles the permit, the utility coordination and the swap.
“Storm took out our power for four days last winter. This year we have a standby generator that started itself while we were asleep.”
“Sparking outlet in the nursery. They came out the same evening, replaced it, and checked every other outlet on that circuit for free.”
“Sold our house and the buyer's inspector flagged eight electrical items. OSB fixed all of them in one visit and wrote it up so we could close on time.”
A straightforward 100 to 200 amp upgrade in Wendell usually lands in the low thousands. Cost moves with mast height, meter location, grounding work and whether the utility needs to reset the drop. You get a flat quote before we start.
Most Wendell panel swaps are a single day, with power off for part of it. Larger service upgrades that need utility scheduling can run into a second day.
Yes — service and panel work is permitted and inspected in Massachusetts. OSB files the paperwork and meets the inspector so you don't have to chase it.
For nearly every single-family home, yes — including one EV charger, a heat pump and an induction range. Very large homes or two EVs sometimes justify 320/400 amp service.
Regularly. Fuse-to-breaker conversions are one of the most common jobs we run in older Wendell housing stock.
