Charging on a standard outlet gets you a handful of miles an hour. A Level 2 charger fills the battery overnight. OSB installs home and workplace EV charging across West Barnstable, including the load calculation your panel actually needs.
“Bought an EV and had no idea what my panel could handle. They did the load calculation, told me straight that I had room, and installed the charger two days later.”
“Our panel was original to the house and completely full. OSB upgraded us to 200 amp, pulled the permit, met the inspector, and left the basement cleaner than they found it.”
“Called at 11pm when half the house went dark and an outlet was making a noise I'd never heard before. Someone was at the door in under an hour and had it isolated before midnight.”
A short run from a panel with free capacity is often under a thousand dollars plus the unit. Long runs, trenching, or a panel upgrade raise it. We quote flat after a quick look at your panel.
Not always. A load calculation decides it. Many West Barnstable homes on 200 amp service take a 48A charger without changes; older 100 amp services often need an upgrade or a load-management device.
Yes — hardwired, commissioned, and set to the right breaker size for your vehicle and panel.
Most West Barnstable installs are done in a few hours. Trenching to a detached garage or a same-day panel upgrade extends it to a full day.
We file it, meet the inspector, and hand you the closed permit for any rebate paperwork.
