Nor'easters take North Marshfield power out for days, not hours. A standby generator starts on its own, carries the circuits that matter, and shuts down when the utility returns. OSB sizes, sets and wires the whole system.
“Two-prong outlets all through a 1920s house. They grounded what could be grounded and GFCI-protected the rest, then labelled everything.”
“Bought an EV and had no idea what my panel could handle. They did the load calculation, told me straight that I had room, and installed the charger two days later.”
“The quote they gave me on the phone was the number on the invoice. That is apparently rare and it shouldn't be.”
It depends on whether you want essential circuits or the whole house. A typical North Marshfield single-family runs well on 18-24kW for whole-house coverage; essentials-only systems can be half that.
Usually one to two days of electrical work once the pad is set and the fuel line is run.
